Situated just off the main strip in Thirlmere, this cafe is a relaxed spot favored by locals looking for a satisfying meal throughout the day—from breakfast and brunch to dinner. The outdoor seating area, surrounded by garden greenery, offers a calm setting where families, dog owners, and friends often linger over coffee or a hearty meal. It’s the kind of place where you might bring your dog along to enjoy the fresh air while you settle in.
The menu centers around hearty, familiar dishes with a few distinctive touches. Many visitors come for the range of chicken options, including the Double Decker Chicken Burger and the Portuguese Chicken Burger, alongside classics like the Bacon and Egg Roll and Halal Chicken offerings. Breakfast crowds tend to appreciate the variety of choices—poached eggs with spinach and smoked salmon, roasts, or filling breakfast plates that include hash with poached eggs or big breakfast combos. There’s a noticeable lean towards comfort food done simply but well, with some vegan and vegetarian options for those who prefer plant-based meals.
Behind the counter, the coffee bar adds to the laid-back feel with its selection of syrups and carefully made drinks, offering everything from a straightforward espresso to creamy milkshakes. During warmer months, the outdoor space becomes a popular spot, especially for families and friends who enjoy having a relaxed meal in the garden surroundings. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, though it’s common for service to take its time, especially during busier periods.
If you’re stopping by from the neighborhood or passing through the area, expect a down-to-earth dining experience where the focus is on simple, well-prepared food and a friendly, unhurried vibe that encourages you to sit back and enjoy the moment.
